| Brief introduction to the local human resource
(HR) situation |
There is one university,
7 technical colleges and over 80 adult education and training
organizations in Jiaxing city. The total number of students
enrolled in higher education in 2005 was 40,000 with 5,780 graduating.
6380 students graduated with degrees from adult education schools.405,000
have been trained locally.
Jiaxing University is composed of School of Economy, School
of Administration, School of Information Tech, School of Mathematics
and Info. Science, School of Architecture Engineering, School
of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, School of Accounting,
School of Law and Arts, School of Biological and Chemical Engineering,
School of Garments and Art Design, School of Foreign Languages,
School of Medicine, School of Junior Education, School of Engineering
Tech., South Lake Institute, and School of Adult Education.
The enrolled students in 2005 have reached 12,900. The graduates
last year were about 3000. Jiaxing
Vocational and Technological College is majored in International
Trading, E-commerce, Industrial Business Administration, Logistical
Administration, Marketing Administration, Tourism Administration,
Hotel Administration, Applied English and Japanese, Office
Administration, Garments Design, Textile Testing and Trading,
Industrial Design, Applied Computer Technology, Computing
Technology, Computer Maintenance (Electronic control), Communicating
technology, Mechanical and Electrical integration, Electric
automation, Digital control technology, auto applied technology,
Environmental supervision and treatment technology, Foodstuff
supervision administration, Garden technology, biological
technology, gardening study, animal disease quarantine, architecture
and construction administration, and so on.
The number of enrolled students is 6000 students. The graduates
last year were more or less 2000.

| An overview on the labour force |
| The residents of Jiaxing city proper, excluding
the 200,000 mobile ones, are about 500,000. In 2005, about 254,000
new jobs were created and the unemployment rate is about 3.8%.
The total number of students enrolled in higher education in
2005 was 400,000 with 5,780 graduating. Employment in industries
is mainly in the following businesses: textile(fiber, fabrics,
garments and leather and etc.), machinery, mechanical and electric
processing. Now electronics is attracting more and more workers. |

in Jiaxing.

Services: human resources policy consulting, planning, talents
testing, recruitment, career guidance, talents record maintenance,

similar affairs, labor contract drafting, meditation concerning
labor conflicts, and other.

Services:
Recruit according to the requirement of foreign company
Draft the labor contract for the foreign company in accord with
local laws. If authorized, sign the contract with employee after
negotiation representing for the foreign company.
Provide the document of the labor contract.
Under the condition that foreign company provide the laborers
list and salary standard, take social insurance for the employee
on the commission of foreign company.
When there is dispute between employee and company, mediation
or litigation can be put forward to protect the legal right
of the foreign company.

| Local permanent residence permit policy |
For domestic talents, an official employment
letter, an official letter by the local labor department and
an official letter by the local social security bureau are required
to apply for permanent residence.
For foreigners to apply for Residence Certificates, the following
procedures have to be done.
1. Fill in VISA and residence permits application form in duplicate
and submit two recently-taken two-inch-length, bareheaded, full-faced
photos.
2. Submit for examination their passports, visas and submit
copies of passport and valid visa pages concerned
3. Submit certificate of temporary accommodation
4. Submit for examination health certificates (exempted for
those younger than 18)
5. Submit for examination the original copy of ¡°Foreigner¡¯s
Work Permit¡± or ¡°Foreign Expert Certificate¡± and supply a copy
of ¡°Foreigner¡¯s Work Permit¡± or ¡°Foreign Expert Certificate¡±
6. Submit a copy of the corporate business license(representative
certificate in case of foreign representative office), WOFE
approval certificate and enterprise code.
7. Application letter by the enterprise
8. Your spouse with foreign nationality will submit for examination
the original copy of your passport, residence permit and submit
a copy of your passport, residence permit, marriage certificate
or an official letter by your employer to confirm your kindred
relationship.
